What is Laser vein treatment?
Laser is the fast, easy way to reliably treat cosmetically unacceptable conditions like telangiectasia and spider veins, usually with less discomfort compared to older therapies. IPL or lasers can be expensive, skin type dependent and have an inherent risk of injury. Compact, portable Laser instantly eliminates the unwanted vessels. “Similar” devices use decade-old technology to deliver questionable results and discomfort, and can have a significant risk of leaving visible micro-scars. Laser delivers outstanding results using unique, proprietary Microburst Technology, which creates an effective, controllable heating of dermal vasculature without significant discomfort or visible damage to the surrounding tissue.
How does it work?
Only Laser uses Ohmic Thermolysis, the unique process of selectively thermocoagulating small, cosmetically unacceptable blood vessels using microbursts of high-frequency electrical energy delivered into the vessel via a hair-thin probe. The resistivity of the vessels converts the energy to heat instantly, coagulating the blood and collapsing the vessel wall, yet leaving the outer layers of the skin unaffected.
Compared to competing devices, heat remains in the vessel much longer, allowing Laser to treat vessels without visible damage to surrounding tissue.
Only Laser incorporates Microburst Technology, a powerful and revolutionary frequency regulator that achieves XED amplitude energy, allowing controllable heating of vessels without significant discomfort or visible damage to the surrounding tissue. The resulting pulse train also encompasses sharp, precise peaks to minimize the risk of damage and deliver consistent results.
How long is a typical treatment?
Depending mainly upon the size of the area, treatments can range from about a minute for minor lesions on the nose, and up to 20–30 minutes for a more extensive condition covering much of the face or legs.
When will I see results?
Immediately. You will see continuous improvement over several weeks as the treated vessels are reabsorbed.
How many treatments are needed?
Generally 2-3 treatments depending on the severity or number of spider veins. More treatments may be required.
Will the veins come back?
Veins will be successfully removed 60-70% of the time. Treatment may need to be repeated.
Does the treatment hurt?
On a scale of 1-10, Laser is a 2-3.
On what size vessels does Laser work best?
Laser works best on spider veins up to 0.3 mm. Laser is not designed to treat feeders or larger vessels deep beneath the surface. To effectively treat leg veins, Laser should be used in conjunction with sclerotherapy.
